Questions to Ask When Hiring A Company to Build A Web Site
Design Related Questions
The first group of questions pertains to the design of the site; "design" refers to the process of determining a look and feel of your site and getting the heading and menus to look the way you like it. To some people design is not important, and to some it is. Be sure that you or your organization will own the site and the design at the end of the day - if not, changes or modifications may be exclusive to the designer.
- Who will design the site? Will you design it, someone in your company, a third-party, or someone else?
- Who owns the design?
- Will you retain the source files, or will I?
- Will the design be built from a template, or is the design unique?
